“This new textile does not eat into the earth’s meagre resources. With bamboo being plentiful in India, it will provide livelihood options for bamboo growers. Also, it’s biodegradable; so the fabric will leave negligible ecological footprint. It’s a fabric of the future.” She also believes that “The concept of eco-fashion is catching on and I increasingly find more and more designers following the trend that I started 30 years ago.”

Motivational Story – When Naga Girl ‘Ketholeno Kense Vihienuo’ made career in Modeling after graduating in Economics
Belonging to Nagaland’s tribe, Ketholeno Kense Vihienuo believes that modeling was not considered a respectable job in the conservative Naga society. Yet, as she grew up friends and family encouraged her to take up modeling because she was unusually tall and dusky for a Naga girl. “Modeling just sounded interesting to my young, adventurous mind. I honestly never thought I would get this far. Only in the year 2013 did I really pick up modeling as a career. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. Getting some good work and interesting opportunities to work with talented people in the industry. I am grateful every day for the choices I’ve made.”
