Story of Arjuna and Rajasuya Yagya in Mahabharata

Arjuna was sent north by Yudhishthira to subjugate kingdoms for the Rajasuya Yagya, so that he could be crowned Emperor of Indraprastha. The Mahabharata mentions several kingdoms to the east of Indraprastha which were conquered (or otherwise peacefully bent-the-knee) by Arjuna. Most notably, he defeats Bhagadatta of Pragjyotisha who repelled Arjuna for eight days straight but impressed with Arjuna’s skill agreed to pay tribute. Bhagadatta was also a great friend of Pandu.
